Welcome to the Honors College at Adelphi University

While we cannot currently meet in person we look forward to connecting with you and sharing information about our wonderful honors community with you!

Mentoring Program

The Honors Student Council has a program where the council will match you with an upper-division student with a similar major or interests. Mentors will reach out to new students over the summer to answer questions and invite you to summer social events. Once the school year starts your mentor can help show you around campus and let you know where your classes will be held.

The Honors College hosted a virtual brunch for faculty, alumni, current students, and prospective students on March 28.  Many people spoke about the value of an Honors College education at Adelphi University.  You can listen to these conversations at the links below, one link is for students interested in the sciences and medicine, and the other link is for students interested in the arts, business, humanities, and social sciences.

Honors College student Lila Woodbridge made this short film about life in the Honors College. If you attended an on-campus interview you probably saw this video. If you have not seen it it provides a great overview of life in the Honors College at Adelphi University!

Follow our Honors College students as they attend class, study and socialize in the honors lounge, and make their way around campus.  Honors students also participate in cultural events in NYC, including seeing Porgy and Bess , Moulin Rouge, Hadestown and the Paul Taylor Dance Company and visiting the rare book room at the New York Public Library, the Modern Museum of Art, and the tenement museum.  The honors community also gathers for social events on campus including a pre-Thanksgiving potluck dinner, a start-of-the semester pancake breakfast, and study breaks of all sorts.
