This presentation will focus on the general college admission requirements, the application process, and the benefits of acquiring a college education. Our goal is for students to leave the event feeling excited and educated about the college experience by providing them with the tools needed to make an informed decision about their future.

Education is a major investment of your time, money and effort, and financing it requires careful advance planning. During this workshop,Student Financial Services will help you learn more about the financial aid process so that you can ensure you receive the most financial assistance possible.
Adelphi University's LGBTQ+ and Allies Committee works to build acceptance of our LGBTQ+ community on campus. Join Associate Director Michael Cartusciello, as he discusses the dialogue between students and faculty that we facilitate to build respect and support across campus, and provide a forum for LGBTQ+ students to meet, share their experiences, and support one another.

Are you nervous about adjusting to the academic and social demands of college? If so, a mentorship program might be right for you! Learn how most mentorship programs promote leadership skills, goal setting, financial literacy, character-building and career skills during this workshop.
Learn about Adelphi’s personalized approach to education through one of our 14 one-week, noncredit and two-week, credit bearing programs for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Our Summer Pre-College Program welcomes students to live and learn on Adelphi's beautiful campus in Garden City, NY, located just minutes from the excitement of New York City and the tranquility of Long Island beaches.
The How to Choose Your Major: Major and Career Exploration presentation covers all things pertaining to choosing a college major and future career. In this presentation, we cover the difference between a major and minor, double majors, undecided majors, changing majors and even popular majors. We also touch upon the requirements necessary to earn a Bachelor's degree. Additionally, this presentation discusses the career opportunities that are available for certain majors, how to differentiate between a job and a career and ultimately provides tips on how to utilize resources to help students pick the major that will land them in their desired future career field.
